Gamla Staberg is the visitor centre for the “Bergsmansbygden” area of homesteads that belonged to members of the mining cooperative. Here you’ll find information on the rest of this area, maps, a café, a walking trail and a shop.

 

Gamla Staberg is one of the best preserved miner’s homesteads in the Bergslagen region. The entire property, with its restored Baroque garden, is an excellent example of how a wealthy mining cooperative homesteader lived at that time. Here you can see all parts of the homestead, with its buildings, garden and smelting area.
